Campground: Pacific Coast Scenic Byway

Description: The Pacific Coast byway runs roughly parallel to the coast, occasionally curving inland around an estuary or tracing a rocky point jutting out into the ocean. State parks line the coast itself, offering a number of places to stop & camp, hike, beachcomb, bicycle, or watch for the abundant marine birds & mammals, either on the rocks along the coast or offshore. Location: US 101 from the Columbia River to the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Season: year round. Fee: no. Reservations: no.
