| Description: The long beach on Hood Canal is the main attraction here, drawing visitors for shellfish harvesting, scuba diving, windsurfing, & boating. Kayaking is particularly popular. Inland, hiking & biking trails wind through the forest, & large fields are open for kite flying. In the summer, a number of interpretive programs are open to children.
The campground has 37 campsites, including 18 with full RV utility hookups, 17 tent-only sites, & two primitive, walk- or bike-in sites. An ampitheater hosts many of the educational programs.
Location: From Shelton, go three miles north on US 101.
Season: year round; gates close at dusk.
