Campground: Rasar State Park

Description: 169 acres of lush second-growth forest on the Skagit River. This is an excellent place for nature study, & visitors enjoy watching for the numerous eagles along the river, as well as ospreys, herons, hawks, geese, & songbirds. Several miles of trails wind through the park, including a mile-long paved trail which is wheelchair-accessible. The campground has 54 sites, including 20 with full RV utility hookups, & three primitive, walk- or bike-in sites. Two Adirondack shelters are also available for campers. An ampitheater is the site of regularly scheduled interpretive programs during the summer months. Location: From Sedro Woolley, go about 14 miles east on WA 20, 0.75 mile south on Lusk Road, then one mile east on Cape Horn Road. Season: year round; gates close at dusk.
