Campground: Scenic Beach State Park

Description: This small park along Hood Canal is known for its spectacular, wild rhododendrons. On clear days, visitors enjoy views of the Olympic Mountains on the other side of the canal. Wheelchair-accessible paths tour the landscaped grounds. Boating, diving, swimming, sailboarding , & jet skiing in the canal. Fishing for cod, red snapper, & salmon; crabs & oysters in season. The campground has 18 RV sites & 52 tent-only sites, & the picnic area has one group kitchen shelter which can hold up to 100 people. Horseshoe pits & volleyball pits are also available. Balls & horseshoes are available from the park. Location: From Silverdale, take Newberry Hill Road to Seabeck Highway, go west six miles, then one mile north on Scenic Beach Road. Season: year round; campground closed October - April. Reservations: call 800-452-5687.
