| Description: 475 wooded acres on Silver Lake. Fishing in the lake for bass, catfish, perch, & trout. Several miles of hiking & biking trails pass through the forest. The park also features a playground & sports fields. Across the road from the park entrance is the Mount St. Helens` Visitors Center, which offers excellent information on the geology & history of the area, including the volcano`s1980 eruption. A wheelchair-accessible nature trail winds a short distance through the woods to a clearing with a fantastic view of Mount St. Helens
The campground has 88 sites, 33 of which have full RV utility hookup. Three-sided shelters for camping are also available for rent. Reservations are recommended during the summer.
Location: From Castle Rock, go about six miles east on WA 504.
