| Description: 4027 acres on the north end of Blue Lake, the Lower Grand Coulee. Between the Upper & Lower Grand Coulee sits Dry Falls, a mute testament to fury & power of the floods caused by Ice-Age glaciers which melted, then broke free from their gravel dams. Today the former waterfall, ten times the size of Niagra Falls, is a 400-foot high, 3.5-mile wide cliff overlooking a desert oasis of scattered lakes. The park holds nine lakes, which are all open to boating & trout fishing. Waterskiing is restricted seasonally. The park also has about 15 miles of trails, a nine-hole golf course, & a miniature golf course. A visitor center is at Dry Falls, on WA 17.
The campground has 180 sites, including 18 with full RV utility hookups. A group tent camping area can hold up to 40 people. Camp Delaney Environmental learning center has a kitchen & dining area with plates & utensils, as well as cabins with heat & air conditioning.
Location: Coulee City, go about two miles west on US 2, then five miles south on WA 17 south.
Season: year round, gates close at dusk. |
