Campground: Woodland Campground

Description: 5200-foot elevation. seven campsites & a picnic area in scattered trees. Mountain biking & hiking are the most popular summertime activities. A trailhead at Spout Springs is north of the campground; west of the campground, a short dirt road leads to a spectacular overlook of the Umatilla Breaks, a steep, rugged canyon in the North Fork Umatilla Wilderness. In the winter, this area is a popular destination for Nordic or downhill skiers & snowmobilers. The Forest Service grooms trails with trailheads at nearby Spout Springs ski area & at Morning Springs SnoPark, to the north. The Tollgate Visitor Center, near the intersection of OR 204 & Forest Road 64 offers information & Northwest Forest Passes. Location: From Weston, go about 23 miles east on OR 204. Season: year round. Reservations: NO.
