Campground: Blackwater Falls State Park
Northeast West Virginia. 65-unit tent & trailer campground has individual sites with centrally located hot showers, Laundromat & dumping station. A total of 30 sites have electric hookups. The campground is open from late April through October with a maximum camping period of two weeks. Reservations are accepted for 20 of Blackwater Falls' campsites from Memorial Day through Labor Day. One tent or camping unit per site. Pets permitted on a leash Ice & Firewood Sales Playground located near Pendleton Lake Recreation Area Bathhouse & Shower Facilities Reservations Available Memorial Day to Labor Day on electric sites only Hiking - over 20 miles of hiking trails. Map & trail guides are available. Horseback Riding Nature & Recreation Programs Nature Center - open daily from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend. Displays, programs & information on the park's natural resources. Swimming, Boating & Games Fishing - The Blackwater River is stocked weekly with trout from early spring through early summer; catch & release area. It is stocked regularly with trout. Fishing is also allowed at Pendleton Lake. Proper license & stamps are required. Cross Country Skiing - Over ten miles of park trails Sledding
