Campground: Middle Fork Campground
This campground lies along the Middle Fork of the Powder River. To the south, the southernmost peaks of the Bighorn Mountains rise abruptly. Trout fishing is good here, & wildlife is attracted in quantity by the river. A fascinating quick trip is south on Arminto Road, just west of the campground to Butch Cassidy`s infamous Hole in a Wall, the canyon where he & the Wild Bunch sought refuge.
